Parallax Faction – Glasgow and Paisley, Scotland.

Parallax Faction defies being categorised in a specific genre. The band has a range of influences which permeates their music. This includes Electronic, Punk and Post-Punk, and also Prog. Which led to the definition ‘Electro Prog Punk.’

In 2007 the band initially consisted of Ani Campbell (vocals, lyrics, composition) Iain Boyce (synths, programming, lyrics, programming, composition) and David Campbell (guitar, bass, lyrics, composition) with the addition of Danni Doonan (guitar and composition). Danni joined after being drafted in to record some guitar parts for tracks like ‘Dirty Bomb’, ‘Snowland’ and ‘His Name Is’ on what would become ‘Supersonic Weird 80’s Pub Music’.

Parallax Faction has released ‘Supersonic Weird 80’s Pub Music’. The album is entirely DIY and is available as a download at all good internet record emporiums. The ‘Gossip Ganda EP’ has also been released. The EP deals with issues of propaganda and war with proceeds being donated to Warchild.

With the release of the album ‘Supersonic Weird 80’s Pub Music’ and 'The Gossip Ganda' EP Parallax Faction has a solid foundation on which to build for the future. The band continues to write, record and play live.

2014 added another two releases: 'Live at Sleazy's' and 'STATUS'. In addition, covered two tracks by 'Madness'
: "Land of Hope and Glory' and 'Our House', for the Specialized 'Mad Not Cancer' Project.

Tizz Shearer of XRP Radio  –

‘One of the few bands to claim the old ONE MONTH @ NO 1 Trophy. This band pulls together not only some of the most interesting and intriguing tracks, but also some of the deepest and most affecting lyrics we have ever heard. Not only a musical revolution but a lyrical revolution.'

"Caught the tail end of Parallax Faction's set, who was the support at the Martin Mettcalfe gig at Nice and Sleazy's in Glasgow, and was suitably impressed. Not the youngest of bands (I'm sure they would admit). Certainly cutting it and could teach the the younger bands a thing or two."

Scotty D of Rock Bandom -

"Parallax Faction a band from Glasgow UK with a very unique sound indeed. They state they can't really be placed in any one genre, which I have to agree on but if I was to try I would say they are electronic 80s goth punk rock with a modern twist. Very pleasing to listen to the trance sound is hypnotic but with the electronic rock combo it takes you to a new level altogether. And the lyrics are second to none allowing you drift off into harmonic voices that surrounds these great tunes."
